Career Training Services

If you're looking for an Employment Service Program, look no further . . . Goodwill's got one for you!

GOODWILL operates a WORK ADJUSTMENT TRAINING program in our facility at 209 Virginia Street, West. This program is staffed by individuals with disabilities referred by several agencies throughout the state. We help these individuals develop work habits necessary to enter the job market. Participants punch a time clock and learn to work up to an eight hour day for which they are paid minimum wage. During their 20 to 60 day program, we address barriers to successful employment to aid in the transition to competitive employment. Monthly performance evaluations address dependability, punctuality, self-confidence, judgment, initiative and attitude. When we feel a participant has reached his/her maximum potential, the rehabilitation staff, with the input of the participant, decide the next step. Some participants, after completing our program, are not ready or choose not to seek employment at that time. We will not set up any individual for failure! If an individual chooses, he/she is referred for placement services. Click here to learn more on job placement services .
