Certified Advanced Retail Training (CART)
The CART program is designed to provide students, clients and potential employees with the skills needed to successfully work in a retail operation.
The program covers a broad area of topics that are needed to work in a retail operation. CART is designed to be hands-on and competency based. The student receives classroom instruction in a particular area and then has an opportunity to utilize hands-on practical applicable experience with actual equipment, etc. in the retail environment. Upon completion of the program the student will have achieved, on the job training, practical application and an educational advantage over other retail job-seekers.
The program focuses on the following four training areas:
Cashier
Cashier-Checker
Sales Clerk
Stock Clerk
Upon completion of the CART program, graduates are assisted in locating retail employment.
